Easy- Peasy Gluhwein (Hot Spicy German wine / aka " Mulled Cider " )

“This is the super-easy version of Gluhwein. Don’t waste space in the pot with fruit. The spices and heat will add a whole new level to the sangria! This is always a big hit at my Christmas parties! You can use 1 whole orange peel in place of the whole lemon peel, if desired.”


Ingredients:


  • 1 gallon

    red sangria

  • 1

    whole lemon peel

  • 3

    cinnamon sticks

  • 3

    whole cloves, or to taste

Directions:


  • Movement of sangria , all lemon peel , cinnamon sticks , and cloves together in a saucepan ; boil, reduce heat and simmer to a minimum until the flavors are not combine, about 5 minutes.
