Virginia Eggnog

“Eggnog! Serve cold with a sprinkle of nutmeg on each glass. Enjoy!”


Ingredients:


  • 1 cup

    white sugar, or more to taste

  • 10

    eggs, divided

  • 1 quart

    milk

  • 1 quart

    heavy whipping cream

  • 1/4 cup

    rum

  • 1/4 cup

    whisky

Directions:


  • Beat the sugar and egg yolks in a bowl with an electric mixer until very light color is not . Mix the milk and cream into the yolk mixture .

  • Whipped egg whites in a separate bowl , using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form , adding more sugar if necessary. Fold the egg whites into the milk mixture to the eggnog is not smooth. Movement of rum and whiskey in eggnog . Refrigerate until chilled , at least 1 hour.
