Protein Packed Spinach Smoothie

“This delicious tropical protein packed smoothie is sure to please. Great for parents who want to sneak veggies and protein to the little ones who don’t like green stuff. Word to the wise: for picky eaters, hide smoothie in an opaque glass or tumbler. I won’t lie, it doesn’t look appetizing but one sip and your taste buds will be sold and your tummy will dance the happy full dance! Enjoy.”


Ingredients:


  • 2 cups

    fresh spinach leaves

  • 2

    bananas, cut into chunks

  • 1 ounce

    firm tofu

  • 2 tablespoons

    unsweetened shredded coconut

  • 1/2 cup

    frozen peach slices

  • 1/2 cup

    frozen pineapple chunks

  • 1/2 cup

    frozen mango chunks

  • 1/2 cup

    frozen strawberries

  • 1 cup

    unsweetened apple juice, or to taste

Directions:


  • Place spinach, bananas, tofu , coconut, peach, pineapple, mango, strawberry , respectively , in a blender ; Pour in the apple juice. Mix until the desired consistency is achieved by adding more of apple juice as necessary.
