Virginia Eggnog
“Eggnog! Serve cold with a sprinkle of nutmeg on each glass. Enjoy!”
Ingredients:
- 1 cup
white sugar, or more to taste - 10
eggs, divided - 1 quart
milk - 1 quart
heavy whipping cream - 1/4 cup
rum - 1/4 cup
whisky
Directions:
- Beat the sugar and egg yolks in a bowl with an electric mixer until very light color is not . Mix the milk and cream into the yolk mixture .
- Whipped egg whites in a separate bowl , using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form , adding more sugar if necessary. Fold the egg whites into the milk mixture to the eggnog is not smooth. Movement of rum and whiskey in eggnog . Refrigerate until chilled , at least 1 hour.
