almond Sherbet
“This is a recipe commonly made in all Sri Lankan Muslim homes, every night of Ramadan and at most special occasions. It is best served chilled. You can also add finely chopped almonds or pistachios to top each drink before serving.”
Ingredients:
- 2 (10 ounce) cans
sweetened condensed milk - 7 1/3 cups
water - 3/4 cup
white sugar - 1 teaspoon
almond extract - 1 drop
green food coloring, or as desired
Directions:
- Whip the evaporated milk and water in a bowl , and stir in the sugar and almond extract donapitok is smooth isahar dissolved. Mix in one or two drops of green food coloring , or on request ; cool to serve.
