Tart lemon jelly drop shot

Ingredients:
- 4 cups
water - 8 large
lemons, cut into 8 wedges each - 3 1/2 cups
white sugar - 8 (.25 ounce) packages
unflavored gelatin - 4 cups
lemon vodka - 1 tablespoon
turbinado sugar
Directions:
- Heat water , lemon slices and white sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook over low heat until sugar dissolves , kneading lemons often to release the juice and oil.
- Cook and stir the lemon mixture for 5 minutes more , then remove from heat and let cool slightly . Strain the lemon pieces from the pan .
- Sprinkle the gelatin in a saucepan .
- Heat syrup and gelatin mixture over low heat until gelatin is dissolved , about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool for 15 minutes . Pour lemon vodka into gelatin mixture and stir well.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 -inch baking pan ; refrigerate until set , at least 6 hours.
- Run a sharp knife under hot water ; reduce gelatin cubes with a knife and sprinkle with turbinado sugar cubes just before serving .
